Free condoms and lube

    Visit the condom wall in our Crane Center lobby Monday-Friday during business hours. Condoms and lube are free to the public, no appointment needed! Also consider visiting one of the many other condom distribution sites in your area.

    As part of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, the California Department of Public Health Office of AIDS has implemented the Condom Distribution Program to provide safer sex supplies to the community. Participating in the program will enable organizations to order external and internal condoms, extra-large condoms, and personal lubricant directly from the California AIDS Clearinghouse at NO CHARGE. To register your Santa Clara County location for the Condom Distribution Program or to receive additional information, please contact us at [email protected]. Learn more about the Condom Distribution Program.

        The Naloxone Distribution Project (NDP) aims to reduce opioid overdose deaths through the provision of free naloxone. Entities can apply to DHCS to have naloxone shipped directly to their address. Eligible entities include:

        • Law enforcement such as police departments, county jails and probation;
        • Fire, EMS and first responders;
        • Schools and universities; and
        • Community organizations such as harm reduction organizations or community opioid coalitions.

        Apply here to receive free naloxone.

        Review the NDP’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). For other questions, contact the NDP Team at [email protected].

        In recognition of STI Awareness Week in April every year, the Public Health Department’s Sexual Health and Harm Reduction Program sponsors a sexual health video contest for high school youth in the County called the Viral Video Contest. The contest encourages high school age youth in Santa Clara County to produce an original video (no more than 90 seconds long) directed at their peers to encourage safer sexual health behavior, normalize STI/HIV testing and reduce stigma. Contest winners and their school or youth organization receive cash prizes.

        Deadline to participate is March 8, 2024.
