WHAT:
Two cases of hepatitis A that may be associated with County of Santa Clara correctional facilities have been reported to the Public Health Department. The County of Santa Clara is taking immediate action to prevent infections. The County is offering Hepatitis A vaccination to all staff and inmates at the Main Jail Facility and Elmwood Correctional Facility. The County of Santa Clara is making available leaders of the Public Health Department and Office of the Sheriff Custody Bureau for on-camera interviews and to answer questions.
