Public Health Department Launches Free Open Health Data Portal at Event with Hands-On Training for Nonprofits

WHAT:

County of Santa Clara Public Health Department will hold a launch event showcasing its new Open Data Portal, an online tool created for county residents to easily access and download health data broken down by city and neighborhood. It hosts data on over 100 health topics, from diabetes to opioids to vegetable consumption. Data is based on the latest local metrics and demographics, such as race, ethnicity and income.

The launch event includes a training that shows nonprofits and community partners how to take full advantage of the data, analytics and tools, to help them make changes in our community that support a healthy county for all residents. Registration is required to attend.
