County of Santa Clara Public Health Department Announces Two Deaths from COVID-19 in Santa Clara County

Individuals and organizations can help slow the spread of the virus by following guidance and recommendations from the Public Health Department

The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department is announcing two deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to four in Santa Clara County. An adult man in his 80s was hospitalized on Saturday, March 7 and passed away on Sunday, March 15. An adult man in his 50s was hospitalized on Thursday, March 12 and passed away on Sunday, March 15. The Public Health Department is saddened by this news, and we sincerely express our condolences to their family and friends.

The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department continues to work closely with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California Department of Public Health, and other partners as the new coronavirus situation continues to change.
