County of Santa Clara Public Health Department Announces Two New Deaths from COVID-19 in Santa Clara County

The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department is announcing two new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 10 in Santa Clara County. The ninth death was an adult woman in her 60s. She passed away on Saturday, March 21. The tenth death was an adult woman in her 40s who was hospitalized on Monday, March 16, and passed away on Saturday, March 21. The Public Health Department expresses our condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.

The County is also reporting 39 new cases today, bringing our total number of cases to 302. We continue to work closely with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of California Department of Public Health, and other partners as the new coronavirus situation continues to change.
