The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department, working with the State of California Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has confirmed that the probable case of monkeypox announced on Thursday, June 30, is now confirmed. Further information about the individual will not be released for reasons of medical privacy. As of today, there are two confirmed cases of monkeypox in Santa Clara County.
