Mobile Response Team (MRT)

Last content update: 12/11/23

The Mobile Response Team (MRT) is a small and versatile program that advances health equity in Santa Clara County by providing mobile public health services, such as vaccination, education, and outreach, to those who need it most. MRT's experience providing pop-up services allows them to respond to priority threats to community health throughout the county. MRT’s work results in the prevention of disease and other adverse health outcomes in populations that face the greatest barriers to accessing the resources needed to lead safe and healthy lives.

MRT was established in July 2022. In its first year, MRT participated in roughly 120 pop-up community health events, administered over 1,600 vaccines, delivered nearly 4,000 COVID-19 antigen tests, and assisted with the distribution of naloxone (Narcan).

Please note: The Mobile Response Team provide mobile public health services to organizations that serve populations facing barriers to accessing care and do not have access to other service providers.
